Please welcome Rev. Joseph Gosselin M.S., who on July 15-16 is celebrating Masses and will tell us about the work of Unbound, a lay Catholic sponsorship ministry that helps children and the elderly in 19 developing countries. Unbound has served more than 600,000 children, youth, and elderly since 1981, empowering them to make more choices in their lives, live with dignity, and reach their potential. Unbound’s sponsorship program is highly personalized. It matches a child, youth, or aging person at a project overseas with a sponsor in the U.S. who cares about and encourages that person. With a monthly contribution, the sponsor helps to provide nourishing food, medical and dental care, the chance for a child to go to school, livelihood programs, and more.
Fr. Gosselin is a Missionary of Our Lady of La Salette. He has served as a seminary faculty member and director for the La Salette community in the Phillipines. He has studied in France and led groups for extensive workshops in Mexico. Recently he had a profound experience of immersion and service in Haiti.
