Help Fill Shipping Container for Needy in Haiti–Donate by Oct. 27

We have an amazing opportunity to help furnish the new rectory in Bois De Lance, Haiti. A member of St. Matthew Parish has generously donated a shipping container (now parked behind the church) that will be sent to Haiti. We are filling the container with furnishings, necessities for the new rectory, and some special requested items. It is much more expensive to purchase items in Haiti than here, so this is our chance to make our donations go as far as possible!

Donations can be ordered through Bed, Bath, & Beyond, dropped off at the parish office, or brought to any mass until Oct. 27. A list of specific items is available at Bed, Bath, & Beyond Registry #545049095. Purchases can be shipped directly to St. Matthew. New or gently used donations are welcome. Gift cards to Lowes (you can purchase through SCRIP!) and Bed, Bath, & Beyond and cash donations are all also appreciated.

Items needed include the following:

  • Stove, refrigerator, chest freezer, washing machine
  • Kitchen supplies, such as towels, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, small appliances, and silverware
  • Picnic table
