The annual Vigil for Life and the Indiana March for Life will take place on Jan. 21 and 22. The events are held in solemn observance of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion in the US. Both events draw attention to the inherent dignity and respect for the lives of all unborn children. The Vigil for Life will take place Jan. 21 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 126 W. Georgia St. It is an evening of praise, worship, and reflections. It will include Eucharistic Adoration and the opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation. If you are interested in attending, please contact Janet Cottler, 317-431-2517, or Erin Kelsch, 317-441-3315. We can carpool from St. Matthew.
The crib is still in the narthex for donations to Birthline. We are SO appreciative for all your generosity. During January, we are trying to collect as many diapers as possible. However, all donations are gratefully accepted!
Finally, the committee asks parishioners to pray for an end to abortion and for adults and children with disabilities during the January and February. All people deserve to lead dignified lives.
Thank you, and God bless all of you. Respect Life Committee
