Blanket Sunday Warms the Poor

Sept. 7/8 is our parish’s Blanket Sunday for St. Vincent de Paul. It’s the annual drive to stockpile blankets for the needy during the cold months ahead.

Calling Parish Boys Grades 1-5

Parish boys in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in the Saint Matthew-sponsored Cub Scout program. The first pack meeting of the year is Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Help New Moms in Need

The Pro-Life Ministry is collecting new and gently used baby items and maternity clothes until the end of August. Please visit the crib in the back of the church to see the items that are needed.

Dance for 7th and 8th Graders

A 7th and 8th grade dance for North Deanery Parishes will be held Friday, Aug. 23, 7-9 p.m. at Christ the King.

Saturday, Aug. 24, is Saint Matthew’s duty day at the St. Vincent de Paul Distribution Center, 1201 E. Maryland St.

Join the Saint Matthew Choir

The Saint Matthew Choir meets for its first rehearsal on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. in the church. Everyone is welcome, no matter your ability, previous experience, or level of commitment. The choir will sing regularly at 9 a.m. Mass starting mid-September.

Family Faith Formation Registration Festival on Sunday

Family Faith Formation, our Sunday morning religious education program for preschool through 8th grade, hosts a registration festival on Sunday, Aug. 18, from 10 to 11:20 a.m. in the community room. Sessions start Sept. 8.

Life Teen Kickoff
