“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” —Matthew 25:35-3
The St. Matthew Respect for Life Committee and Kairos Prison Ministry are sponsoring a presentation on opportunities for outreach to individuals and families impacted by incarceration. These include opportunities for both women and men.
At the presentation, guest speaker Shari Hansel will discuss from firsthand experience how the impact of incarceration extends beyond the individual offender, affecting spouses and family members. As Christians we understand that imprisonment is just one of many misfortunes that may befall an individual in this sinful world. As we share the Gospel, we bring a message of God’s love, forgiveness, and reconciliation to the forgotten men and women behind prison walls. Please join us on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. in the St. Matthew community roomfor this special event.
