The Fall campaign for 40 Days for Life started on Sept. 25. During this time, the St. Matthew Pro-Life Committee asks that you pray for the unborn, fast, and show your faith through action by keeping prayerful vigil at Planned Parenthood on Georgetown Road. Do you have an hour each week to commit to the unborn? Know your prayers are making a difference! Across the nation abortion centers are closing, abortion workers are quitting, and men and women are coming to the truth on the sanctity of life. Please consider supporting right to life during this campaign through Nov. 3.
Oct. 6 is Respect Life Sunday. St. Matthew Parish will show its support by spending an hour downtown for Life Chain from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Life Chain is an interdenominational activity where the faithful stand in prayer and solidarity along Meridian Street. Our location is the same as last year–across the street from SS Peter and Paul Cathedral on Meridian Street between 13th-14th streets. Sign pick up will be on the NW corner of 14th and Meridian. We will probably carpool. Additional information about these events can be found in the trifold display in the narthex. Contact Erin.
