Our St. Vincent de Paul volunteers are holding a Pants Drive for clothing for needy school children on weekends in August.
They are seeking donations of new or very gently used school shorts or pants in children’s sizes 10-18. Navy and khaki colors are preferred since so many schools have these colors as uniforms, but other colors are welcome.
Pants can be dropped off in the narthex of church on weekends in August. There will be signs and bins for the pants in the back of church. SVdP volunteers will take the clothing to the SVdP Distribution Center on Leota Street In downtown Indianapolis. Your donations will be given to clients as needed through the SVdP Distribution Center.
IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT drop pants/shorts donations in the outdoor SVdP bin. Trucks from SVdP are collecting items from these outdoor bins, and they collect from several parishes per day. Your donations for the Pants Drive will get lost in piles of other donations dropped in the bins. Thank you!
