Welcome to Pam Doyle, Our New Director of Faith Formation
Hi—My name is Pam Doyle, and I am from the Indianapolis area. I am blessed to have my family living in the area as well. Family is very important to me and comes second only to my faith in Christ. From a very early age, I recognized that Jesus is with me in every beat of my heart. When it comes to faith and family, my parents are my greatest role models, and I am proud to say that they have been married for more than 58 years and are going strong. I am the oldest of three with a brother and a sister each married to wonderful spouses, not to mention that I have nine of the best nieces and nephews ever. Also, I recently became engaged to a wonderful man named David.
As Jesus is with me every step of the way, my career path has really been more of a journey in ministry. From the time I was five years old, I knew I would be a teacher, and a teacher I became. With an open mind and an open heart, I began as an elementary school teacher, and from there God has taken me on an incredible journey of ministry and faith. I went on to earn a Master’s in Education, became a principal, worked with at-risk youth, did parish work, and most recently earned my Master’s in Pastoral Theology from Saint Meinrad (2018) and taught theology to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at Shawe Memorial these past four years.
Now I am very happy to become a part of the St. Matthew family as your Director of Faith Formation and as a fellow parishioner. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you. Please pray for me and I will pray for you in this time of transition and new beginnings.
With sincere joy, Pam
