Message from Our New Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am excited and honored to be the new principal of St. Matthew Catholic School.
I have been a Catholic school principal and teacher for twenty-four years. Before this position, I have been privileged to serve three Catholic schools as principal: Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Thomas Aquinas, and most recently, Holy Cross Central. Each school community is unique, and I can honestly say I encountered exceptional joy and learned distinctive lessons in each experience. I know this will also be the case as I serve the community at St. Matthew. I am especially interested in embracing “The Warrior Way!”
I completed my bachelor’s degree at Indiana State University and my master’s degree at the University of Indianapolis. My husband, Chris, and I along with our three children live on the east side in the Irvington neighborhood. Our daughter attends Marian University, and our sons are enrolled at Scecina Memorial High School. We are members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish.
I would like to thank Fr. Bill and the St. Matthew principal search committee for giving me the opportunity to serve such a well-established, respected school and church community. I look forward to meeting each of you as the year begins and am eager for this upcoming school year!
