Corpus Christi Procession June 10 at St. Matthew, Plus Pray Novena Starting June 2.
St. Matthew Parish, along with other parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the United States, will begin a year-long, purposeful focus on the National Eucharistic Revival beginning with the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, June 10/11.
Our focus will be centered around worship, prayer, and opportunities for Adoration. On Saturday, June 10, immediately following the 5 pm Mass, all parishioners are invited to participate in a Corpus Christi procession. This brief procession is an invitation to walk with our Lord enthroned in the Monstrance in a public expression of our faith in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The procession will occur entirely within the boundaries of the St. Matthew campus. The procession will conclude with a period of Adoration and Benediction. Please prayerfully discern to participate in this beautiful expression of our faith.
Also, in preparation for the Feast of Corpus Christi, parishes are encouraged to pray the Corpus Christi Novena during the period of June 2 through June 10. The Novena can be found at the following link on the National Eucharistic Revival website: Corpus Christi Novena English.pdf (ecatholic.com)
