SCRIP is a fundraising program benefiting St. Matthew School, Church, and families. St. Matthew purchases gift cards at a discount and in turn sells these gift cards at face value.

HOW DOES IT BENEFIT ST. MATTHEW CHURCH and SCHOOL?
A minimum of 50% of the rebates on all gift card purchases is allocated to the school or parish. Without these funds, an increase in tuition rates or an increase in the parish subsidy of the school would be necessary.

HOW DO PARTICIPATING FAMILIES BENEFIT?
Participants may retain 50% of the rebates from their purchases in the form of a tuition credit, 8th grade fund credit, gifts cards, or cash back. Alternatively, rebates may be applied to various St. Matthew ministries. Available options are listed in the SCRIP Program Agreement. Rebates are distributed twice annually in May and December.

HOW CAN I PURCHASE SCRIP?
SCRIP can be purchased in 3 easy ways:
1. Plastic gifts cards can be purchased from the SCRIP office, which is located in the church narthex.
2. Electronic gift certificates can be purchased from your computer.
3. Electronic gift certificates can be purchased from your smartphone.

WHEN CAN I PURCHASE SCRIP?
Electronic certificates (SCRIPNOW) can be purchased 24 hours a day for more than 275 retailers from your computer (www.shopwithscrip.com) and for more than 135 retailers from your smartphone (www.myscripwallet.com).

Plastic gift cards can be purchased in the SCRIP office, which is located in the church narthex. The office is open 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. on school days, Friday afternoons 2:30 to 3:15 (school days) and after all weekend Masses year round.

You may also send in a SCRIP Order Form and a check made payable to “SCRIP” with your child. Plastic cards will be sent home in your child’s backpack or left in the school or parish office for you to pick up.

WHAT PLASTIC GIFT CARDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
Gas, groceries, hardware supplies, restaurant meals, clothing, books, and car washes can all be purchased with SCRIP. The St. Matthew SCRIP program stocks plastic gift cards for approximately 25 national and local retailers, which are listed on the SCRIP Order Form. Additionally, we can special order plastic gift cards on a weekly basis from more than 700 participating retailers. Special orders placed by Sunday are usually available the following Wednesday. HOW DO I PURCHASE ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATES (SCRIPNOW)?
Electronic certificates (SCRIPNOW) can be purchased at www.shopwithscrip.com once you have a SCRIP account and a PrestoPay account. If you have ever purchased SCRIP from St. Matthew, then you already have a SCRIP account. Email the SCRIP office to find out your user name and password. If you’re new to SCRIP, you can sign up online at www.shopwithscrip.com. First, email a request to the SCRIP office to get St. Matthew’s organizational code. Then go to the online sign up page and select the green Family Sign Up box. Complete the registration information using the St. Matthew organization code given to you by the SCRIP office.

WHAT IS MYSCRIPWALLET.COM?
MyScripWallet.com is a mobile website that allows you to purchase electronic gift certificates (SCRIPNOW) any time during the day from approximately 135 retailers and redeem them right from your Apple or Android device. You must pay with PrestoPay to use this convenient feature. You can add a MyScripWallet shortcut to the home screen of your iPhone or Android phone.

WHAT IS PRESTOPAY and HOW DO I ENROLL?
PrestoPay allows you to pay for your SCRIP order by automatically debiting your checking account. You must enroll in PrestoPay to purchase electronic certificates. Follow the prompts on www.shopwithscrip.com to set up a PrestoPay account.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
All orders must be paid by cash, check, or electronic bank draft (PrestoPay) at the time of purchase.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO TO GET STARTED?
All participants need to complete a SCRIP Program Agreement to elect how rebates will be allocated. Return your signed agreement to the SCRIP office or the school office. If you do not provide us with a signed agreement, 100% of your rebates will be allocated to the school.
