From the Fish Fry Committee. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents for the 2026 St. Matthew Fish Fry. By all accounts, it was another successful event for our church parish and surrounding community. We had another great year serving over 1,900 meals in 3 days. 137 Volunteers filled nearly 280 shifts in support of the event. We clearly couldn’t do these wonderful community events without the full support of the parish from the parish staff to the middle school kids that sell desserts and drinks. Many people asked who is responsible for putting on such a great event. We have a small core planning committee of Joann Schisla, Angel Bates, Tim Jerger, Erika Dobrota, David Smock, and me. However, the support from Father Bill, the St. Matt’s staff, the Men’s Club, the SMS family and the PFA are critical in pulling this off year after year. The dates for the 2027 Fish Fry are currently being determined, and we look forward to having you back next year. You are always encouraged to invite others to volunteer or just come and enjoy the food and fellowship. Have a wonderful remainder of this Lenten season and Happy Easter!
